How odd that as soon as some red/purple states begin reopening without seeing dramatic spikes, Democrats and the media (redundant, sorry) immediately shift to "you know, reopening is a good idea, we should weigh risks and rewards" rather than "YOU WANT TO KILL GRANDMA!1!!1!"

In other media hypocrisy notes, this weekend Colorado Gov. Jared Polis announced the state would change its count of covid-19 deaths to measure "deaths from covid" rather than "deaths with covid." Crickets.

That's after Cuomo changed the standards for counting nursing home deaths, from people who died coming from nursing homes to people who died in nursing homes. Crickets.

Now, Cuomo is saying that hey, elderly people die in larger numbers than others, and we should probably shape our plans accordingly. Crickets.

Also, remember when Cuomo was complaining about lack of ventilators, and then there was never a shortage, so we all stopped talking about ventilators? And now there is a >10,000 test-per-day surplus in NYS over demand, according to Cuomo?
