i don& #39;t want to come at this from a hateful perspective so i think the main issue here stems from the fact that those who aren& #39;t part of marginalized communities often don& #39;t understand how those identities are inseparable from your experience in every aspect of your life.

i understand not wanting to engage in certain topics of discussion because they are emotionally draining but i also don& #39;t have a choice if those topics are presented purely by my existing in the world.

i think it& #39;s important to be aware as to why people might take offense to someone simply being able to turn off those discussions when those who are most affected by those conversations really can& #39;t ever escape them.
