someone asked me to tweet this so i will: the dispatch article wasn't calling them out for going outside or not "social distancing", the article was calling them out for not SELF-QUARANTINING after exposure. that was also the point of the witness' statement and that is the issue.

even worse, every single company's official statement ignores this and makes the issue about social distancing. the reason for this is because up until now ent. companies have more or less been acting like an "essential service" and maintaining activities

if they are confronted by the public outrage (which is happening realtime rn), they might have to stop music shows, stop album promotions, etc. and that will lose them a LOT of money. that's why this is a big deal and worrisome.

Also i want to clarify that my point abt music shows/promotions goes for all companies and is SPECULATION obviously, but the fact that somehow music shows were allowed to continue when gatherings of more than 50 were strongly discouraged has continued to boggle my mind lmfao

I WANT TO ADD MORE: Big issue in korea right now is that the people suffering most because of COVID crisis is minorities (being blamed, visa issues, travel issues, etc.), students (school year disrupted, education disrupted, testing issues), poor (essential workers at risk), etc.

So when idols with a relative amount of more privilege in terms of wealth and companies who are invested in them doing well as people do things that others cant in society, or make a certain problem worse that's why it can become a big issue in SK. Class issue is severe here.
