I'm honestly at a loss for words.

The amount of vitriol, racial insults and complete disregard for my lived experience i've experienced in the past few hours from people who are supposedly on the left is mind-boggling.

Here's a thread about my lived experience.
My family literally came to Denmark on a boat illegally after having half our family genocided by white supremacists for us being an ethnic minority.

We came to Denmark with literally nothing, had to actively flee the country cause my grandfather was murdered.
Then being raised as a refugee in a society where you're instantly clocked as an 'outsider' and a foreigner every time people look at you, cause your features arent considered 'Nordic'. People constantly making fun of your first and last names, bullying you, disparaging you
for clearly not being 'white' like they are. Growing up in ghettos, moving from ghetto to ghetto and your parents being discriminated against and refusing to get acces to language education cause they were expected to be 'sent home'.
Still to this day, getting told casually by my friends that I'm "one of the good ones".

Getting told by girlfriends that I'm 'exotic'.

That I dont fit the stereotype that they have of immigrants.
Then having to deal with ACTUAL political parties gaining traction, almost gaining enough votes to get into Danish parliament (they received 4.9% of popular vote, 5% is needed). Where ON THEIR PARTY WEBSITE it's stated, that first order of business is to deport everyone who's
my ethnicity, who came as a refugee from Bosnia, just because we are. No questions asked, no exceptions.

Knowing that next time, if they do reach that 5%, they might become a part of government cause the right will need them to win.
Then for the first time in my life, going on twitter dot come and being told by some big brain wannabe lefties that apparently I have a sliver of white privilege and that I'm a "cracker".

Give me a fucking break.
If you racial analysis stops at the pigment of someones' skin, and not by the material and contextual analysis of the society they exist in, you're no more informed than the average republican.

'White' is a social construct. Countless times in society
people with white pigmented skin, have not been considered 'white' and would not have had white privilege in that context.

It's not really that hard to understand, we all know the arguments. Jews in nazi germany didn't have white privilege. The Irish when they first came to US
Whiteness historically has been used to exclude people who aren't "white enough".

This is actively happening to me. In my own country.

I understand this might be difficult for you to understand, and that's fine. I dont blame people for being ignorant.
I DO however blame people for being malicious.

Repeatedly calling me 'cracker' or saying that I have 'white privilege' when I'm not considered 'white' in my country and I'm actively oppressed by them, is extremely hurtful.

This is akin to people calling me a Serbian.
For those unaware, a common slur against Bosnian people, is calling them 'Serbian'.

The Serbs were literally the ones who genocided my grandparents, and most of my family.

Calling me that, or anything close to that, I cant express how insulting that is.
I've accepted that most people dont really give a fuck, and they just wanna keep calling me shit. That's fine.

I dont expect random people to understand.

Bosnia is a wartorn country, most of it is a wasteland, still not recovered from the war, with corrupt
politicians taking all the money for themselves, which was given to them to rebuild the country.

They're so corrupt that they can't even become a part of the EU.

This is why you wont see many Bosnian people on this platform. On any online platform.
What do I wanna say with this? Well. Be aware of what your principles are, be aware of other peoples' history, listen to them when they tell you about their experiences.

This should be self-evident for people on the left, right?
Dialogue is important.

Talking about history and the meaning of words in good faith, is important.

Knowing not only what to say and what to think, but why we say and think the things we do, is important.

Anyway, rant over, I'm going to bed.
