In our article, along with copies of post mortem, police statements and statements of villagers, we stated that OpIndia had taken the muddled thoughts of a grieving father desperately looking for answers, and converted it into a story without any investigation into the matter.2/7
After our piece was published, OpIndia published a counter-piece, claiming that we were labeling the father as a liar. We never made any judgement on the father, and maintained that he was grieving, and looking for answers. OpIndia lied in their defence, but that's expected. 3/7
Because of OpIndia's lies, Bihar's DGP had to spend a considerable time in this village to investigate the matter He did a Facebook live today, and without naming OpIndia, he clarified that all the claims about 'sacrifice' were pure lies.

Now, OpIndia has published an update and shifted all the blame to the grieving father. First they exploited a grieving father for their propaganda, and when their propaganda got exposed, they are now targeting the father. 5/7
OpIndia's Hindi editor @ajeetbharti put out a video in which he repeatedly labeled the father as a 'liar'. Watch this 44 seconds clip to see the number of times the grieving father has been targeted by OpIndia.

OpIndia's lies were all over WhatsApp which is why the top most cop of the state, the DGP, had to personally intervene. This is at a time when the whole country is battling a pandemic and police is an integral part of this. Can there be a bigger disservice to the nation?
