no, not all leftists should be vegans. a lot of leftists are Indigenous and some of us have strong traditions and cultures that are centered around eating meat. you're not morally superior for being vegan. there are environmentally sustainable ways to consume animals.
Indigenous ways of life and hunting are not "exploiting" and "unnecessarily killing" animals. ur applying a settler lens that is incompatible with Indigenous epistemologies. this is why we call your veganism, white veganism. a lot of it is rooted in a settler lens.
if you're regurgitating talking points about ethical veganism saying stuff like "all killing of animals is unecessary" "it's immoral to kill animals" "killing animals is exploitative" then ur recreating white veganism, don't have to be white to recreate white veganism.
the reason it's white veganism is because its willfully misrepresenting Indigenous relationships with animals and applying a settler interpretation of our practices.
so please, any vegan this applies to, reflect on the ways that your talking points are uplifting Indigenous erasure and settler dominance.
if you don't see the relationship between the massive meat industry, environmental destruction, and settler colonialism then i can't help ya. consult the books and theory please.
