Picked these up cheap in the “before time”, today is the day I reseason them (slo mo thread follows)
Already have a 10” and 12” skillet, got these cos one is a deeper 10” skillet and one is a Dutch oven
First step is to take all of the remnant old seasoning off. People do this with steel wool but the easiest way is to run it through the self cleaning cycle on your oven. Take all but one shelf out and leave them in there for 3.5 hours or so
Self cleaning = oven heating up to 500 degrees C or so. It will smell bad and you won’t want to get too close. Open a window. (Also somehow I changed my oven’s language to Spanish and I have no idea how to change it back)
