saying “I love you” in English and saying “I love you” in your native language are two completely different emotions

i just realized i have never once in my entire life said “I love you” in my native language to anyone........ i’m sure a therapist would have a field day with that one

i would say “i love you” in english to a lamppost, but the idea of saying “i love you” in my native language feels so inexplicably intimate, so much more profound, & only fit for very specific situations like... before u charge into battle or something
