DAY6 chord progressions r rlly sumn else. the way zombie's 1st half is repetitive but the subtle built up when it hits the climax as the bridge goes til it all stripped down except jae's voice and the piano in last chorus clearly interpret a hollow "human"
the amount of ppl who are connected to zombie musically is so HARD-HITTING. aside from its emotional lyrics, the instrumentals itself are PURE GENIUS. this isn't any typical day6 title tracks we expected from its non-dramatic transition up to the dynamic of the vocals.
the mixing and transitions of the song is on another lvl. they are subtle yet difficult to pull off. the fact most of us expected it for a HUGE drop but they cut everything away except piano. and how the chords don't resolve at the end which leaves you hanging and feeling empty.
it suddenly hits Different how ppl wanted to have sum sort of resolution but thats not how easy reality works. we all dream for life to turn into sumn more, but our expectations have never met. and that's just something abt the way day6 explains pain and reality thru their music.
the moment ppl will start to appreciate and realize that day6 aren't only good in story telling thru their lyrics but also to their instrumentals and vocals is the day i can finally die in peace
