Why are the SNP being left alone by the MSM? The more I look at what they’ve been doing, the more concerned I am for democracy in Scotland, they are a utter disgrace at this stage, and we are hearing nothing about it! So let’s do an “SNP and their strange actions”.

Let’s try and keep this in some sort of chronological order. In 2015 they realised that their 4 year term would end in 2020 when we were due to have a General Election on the same year. So, because they don’t believe their citizens can handle 2 votes...

....they decided to extend the term by a year. (Logic and democracy, would require they bring the election forward) however they have decided an additional year was required. In Westminster, the Lords would block an act like that! Why wasn’t it challenged in court?

Then to make it worse, when we had a snap election in 2017 their reasoning went away, yet they didn’t change the law! Plus the fact they had 2 votes in 2016 (referendum and their election) so the reason is clearly nonsense.

Then we have the issue with the Nike conference, the first potential mass spreading event, their first cases, that they didn’t report! Instead they choose to lie about when their first case was and ignore the 8 confirmed by the conference.

The SNP has now been asked to prove their was no cover up and that it was a “mistake” of some kind, yet that doesn’t seem likely when her response to the question was a blunt it is;

In not answering that question, and effectively covering up their first cases (whether deliberate or not) the SNP have had a direct impact on the advice the government may have received! The lockdown might have happened earlier with that information.

Of course we could have continued and done everything the same, I don’t know. We will never know, however the media must surely understand how important it is we get answers and understand what happened! Yet they don’t seem to care. To focused on worrying about Boris saying “em”
Then we have another thing that’s caused me great concern, the SNP have removed the timeframe for FOI requests and changed the laws surrounding them. They have absolutely no requirement to have done this, and it’s a permanent change.

They are the first country in the world (only country in the world) to openly withhold information. They are hiding a lot, and making it impossible to be held to account, either by journalists or the ballot box! This seems wrong on so many levels.

I’m going to leave it there, if any journalists want to chip in and explain why none of this is apparently news worthy, when it could have impacted the direction the U.K. took, please let me know.

If anyone from the SNP wants to chip in and explain why you’re subverting democracy and democratic over-site that would be great. However, I doubt it.
