In 1921, West Virginia coal miners rose up in a revolt against brutal conditions & brutal suppressions is unionising attempts. They battled with over 3,000 police & the private army of Logan County Coal Operators. The private army dropped WWI gas & explosive bombs on the miners.
President Warren Harding also threatened to send in bombers to suppress the over 10,000 armed miners. This was the largest labour uprising in US history, during which over 1,000,000 bullets were fired.

Up to 100 miners were killed resisting the consistent anti-union violence.
This battle came to be known as the Battle of Blair Mountain.

It is deeply important to remember labour history and it's something I may cover more
