Someone in one of my disability groups has just got their PIP report back with a sentence of how they "kept excellent eye contact during the assessment". It was a telephone assessment.
Just in case you had any lingering idea that those assessments have any honesty in them.

I mean, I& #39;m not surprised in the slightest considering the blatant lies I& #39;ve had about my health in mine and heard from others
Also this is probably a copy and paste job but it shows the attention to individualised reports, doesn& #39;t it.
People are losing access to benefits they need because of "mistakes" like this. The UN concluded that the UK is violating the human rights of disabled people and yet ... crickets. Everyone just seems to be pretending it never happened.
Incidentally it turns out it& #39;s been nearly 5 years since my last PIP rejection and I& #39;ve been trying to find the strength to reapply since then. The countless rejections, appeals, tribunals, takes so much out of you
It& #39;s a bit ironic when you& #39;re including mental illness in your application when the reason you aren& #39;t constantly reapplying is b/c the process itself fucks up your mental health so much
I took an advocate to a tribunal and it didn& #39;t help me at all. I& #39;m hoping now that I& #39;m a member of a local disability centre that they can help more but god it& #39;s hard even taking the first steps to apply (including the fact you have to PHONE)
anyway I don& #39;t think I have the energy right now to write a lot about this but the idea that if you "genuinely need" disability benefits, you should "just apply" and you& #39;ll get it is .... not the case at all. Even for ppl who get it, the process is often still hellish
Maybe one day if I come across the worst report I got back, I& #39;ll go through the blatant lies

It& #39;s NOT an out-of-work/school benefit but yet if you manage either of those to any extent, you& #39;re not disabled enough for PIP apparently https://twitter.com/soul_into_hades/status/962114455768322048">https://twitter.com/soul_into...
