(1/n) Are you guys interested in hearing a story? It's about the compulsory quarratine protocol (LOL) for the interstate travellers who arrived Bengaluru since the May 14th using the spl trains.

(2/n) To start with, there's no complaint about the train journey from my side. Upon reaching the KSR Bengaluru station, passengers were safely escorted to the help desks. They checked my temperature using the thermometer gun and it showed 85F. Ofcourse, it's faulty. Then this!

(3/n) I chose the low-budget option as I was told by one of the officers that they'll conduct a covid test and let us out after 3 days if found negative. Then, they took us to a hotel hardly a KM away from the station by BMTC buses. We paid 100rs for this!

(4/n) Accomodation is decent. But, here's the twist, the hotel was notified about our arrival at around 8.45am by the BBMP officials. I'm not sure if this place was sanitized properly and on what basis, they chose this property. Should run a bg check on who's owning this place.

(5/n) Now, the hotel is asking us to pay 1800rs without taxes for the room (2 sharing) which is 2x than what I signed up for. Here's the best part: They want us to pay for 14 days upfront which is around 25k. That's 2x the rent that am paying for the apartment currently.

(6/n) Also, the hotel guy confirmed that there's no medical test conducted at the premise and he ll be in charge of reporting the officials about the sick. I understand about the need to be quarratined and I've paid approx 3 Lakh rs in taxes last year. I'm jobless right now.

(8/n) I've been stuck in Uttrakhand for 53 days due to the lockdown. Dissolved my balances. Came back home to find opportunities and now, ended up in a much deeper shit-hole.

There's approx 40 rooms taken in this hotel & the hotel guys are like "Let's make some money babe "
According to the tariff notice, it's 1400rs for couples & 1200rs for single. Now, I'm sharing the room with @rustyrana paying 1800rs. So, That's 400rs discount for having sex

(9/n) Food served at 2.46pm (part of the package). Btw we had to pay for the breakfast!

(10/n) @DIPR_COVID19 tried reaching the hotel guys regarding the disputed pricing. The mobile phones are switched off. End of story!

(11/n) Day 2: No signs of medical examination yet. But, a good breakfast!

(12/n) #BBMP officials visited us yesterday & checked only the families/kids lodged here. Fair enough. When enquired about the medical test, we were told that It would be conducted on 12th day of the quarratine?
What's thr logic here?

(13/n) Day 4: Healthcare trainees walked in, after our argument with #BBMP JC yesterday. Checked temp. for 2. Realised that they were not wearing the PPEs as advised. Resumed checking after a quick photo-session. Reminds me of my college symposium days! No disrespect intended.

(14/n) Here's the medical report from Almora govt hospital that I took before leaving for Delhi in a private cab to board my train.
In case, I get infected it's either due to
1. The old man who smoked 10 cigs in train washroom
2. KA govt's unregulated institutional quarratine
