Guys, I would like to share a very funny Internet story with a geopolitical twist. This story involves a Delhi School, Philippines President, his die-hard supporters, and a sassy teen.

The current president of the Philippines is Rodrigo Duterte. If you don’t know him, he is *how should I put it lightly* batshit crazy. Just go through this segment by John Oliver

Duterte also has a loyal Internet fanbase who call themselves “Diehard Duterte Supporters” or DDS for short. This is also a reference to Davao Death Squad- a vigilante group encouraged by Duterte alleged to have conducted summary executions of street children.

In New Delhi, there is a school named Daisy Dales Senior Secondary School. The alumni of this school operate a Facebook page called DDS Confessions.

Everything was fine but when Duterte Supporters saw this page with DDS acronym, they started spamming the page so much that the admin had to put out this post clarifying it has nothing to do with their president.

The clarification posted by admin had no effect so he/she did some research and posted about Duterte the next day.

This post blew up the Philippines. Many of their citizens commented and appreciated this post. Some even apologized.

But, on the other side, Duterte Supporters were really pissed off with this post and started reporting this page.

The next day, the admin had to put a third post responding to all the messages he had received from both sides.

This shitfest has been covered by a few media websites in the Philippines but not in India. The story also appeared in the Philippines subreddit. Some funny comments there.
