Hi! If you've been linked to this thread, it's because you tried to use the incredibly tired argument,

"Humans can't change sex!"

And we're tired of having to retype our nuanced responses only to be ignored anyway, so we're just going to link to this thread.
This argument is flawed for many reasons, the first of which being it's not even an argument.

The current limits of our technology offer no weight as to whether or not it's something that is ethically or morally favorable.

We also can't cure all cancers yet.
So, unless you can make some argument that we shouldn't, even if we could, then your "point" is pretty worthless.

Especially since trans people are very aware of the limits of medical transition as of current.
So, I ask,

If you could change your sex,

If the means were available to you,

Would it be in any way wrong for you to use them and decide your sex for yourself?

No. Your body. You should get to do with it what you want, within reason.
And once you acknowledge that changing sex, were it practical, is not in any way unethical because it wouldn't be directly affecting anyone else,

Arguments that people shouldn't pursue it because we haven't figured out how to make a trans person indistinguishable from cis yet...
It would be like arguing that we shouldn't do prosthetics because we can't regrow arms yet,

Or we shouldn't do other kinds of body mods because.... Reasons? Appeal to Nature, probably?

Bodily Autonomy means letting people do with their bodies what they want, not what you want.
And once we're past the lack of ethical arguments against transition,

Guess what - there's nothing indicating that sex can't ultimately be changed with enough biotechnology. https://twitter.com/CritFacts/status/1255186515468132352?s=19
And also,

Trans people don't have to "change sex"

Every transition is different and each trans person decides for themselves what they want out of it. They're under no obligation to meet your standards of transition for their identity to be genuine. https://twitter.com/CritFacts/status/1255170865055977472?s=19
