During the Vietnamese war, the USSR received $40 billion in US loans, much of which went directly towards the purchase of US industrial equipment then used to manufacture military supplies used against American soldiers. Most Soviet ships were also designed and built by the West.

The Kama River Plant, the largest industrial plant in the world at the time of its construction, covering 36 sq mi, was built by Fiat, who’s Chairman of the Board, Giovanni Agnelli, was on the Advisory Committee of Chase Bank. Kama trucks were used by Afghani terrorist groups.
