Did you know that the search term "toilet paper" spiked up to an average of over 14million searches in March 2020?

You know what the search volume was for the same word in 2019? 40k

This got me thinking...what else has changed since #covid19? [thread --> ]
I mean, let’s all be honest.

The world has changed.

And it won't be back to normal any time soon.

It's VERY naive for us to think marketing tactics that worked before will work now.

👇 But I think it's important to look at how things have changed before responding to them 👇
1️⃣ We know that the entire world is shifting into more of a remote work culture, and are practicing social distancing.

Chances are, this will be the case for the foreseeable future.

Because of this internet usage and content consumption have increased dramatically.
2️⃣ In fact, Google searches are especially on the rise & have increased by more than 9% in less than a month’s time.

For marketers, this is very useful data because it clearly shows us where our audience is now spending the vast majority of their time.
3️⃣It also indicates that it’s very important for us to ensure that we’re available on these online channels & social media platforms.

Sharing relevant, helpful & engaging content that potential customers can easily consume.
4️⃣We have also witnessed is that the type of information that people are consuming is also changing rapidly.

A lot of these search trends seem to be highly dependent on the psychological impact that remote life is having on individuals.
I believe this graph depicts what I mean in more simple terms:
In all seriousness, over the past few weeks we studied & visualized some of the biggest changes in search data.
