People miss "Sports," "Restaurants," "Shopping," "The Gym" and so many other things. I believe them and get it but I also wonder if these are different ways of saying the thing that I know that I feel, which is just that I wish that things inside my head felt like they used to.
Watching KBO made me think of this. I don't really care about the games or anything but when they are on in the background I have like a 20% normalization of brain function that even applies to the other tasks I'm doing at the same time.
This doesn't apply to people who are out of a job but for the people who just miss these activities we may be putting too much stock in the activities themselves and not reckoning enough with how deeply this has all turned our internal lives upside down.
Anyway I don't know all of the people who follow me or will see this but, despite the site's stereotype, my interactions on Twitter over the years have been overwhelmingly kind-spirited and I care about what's happening in your head and I'm just really sorry.
