Prince George’s County Executive @CEXAlsobrooks live press conference...signed an executive order to extend the Stay at home for the county until June 1.

Hospitals in the county are 40% over capacity. 1 out of 3 people tested are positive for COVID-19. State average is 1 out of 5.

Need to see a 14 day decline & don’t have enough tests to expand the capacity. Nor the PPE for essential workers.

Prince George’s County & Montgomery County make up 40% of the states revenue....to sum It up...Angela saying...we make the money...how you gonna ignore us.

“We can’t send people back into businesses without the capacity to test them.” —let’s remember this when the stay at home order in the county is lifted.

Five pillars for Reopening Prince George’s County.

1. Reduce the curve with a two week decline in new cases and deaths.

2. Hospital Capacity. two week decline in hospital capabilities. 30% of ICU beds available.

3. Adequate testing. Currently at 5000 tests per week. We need to be at 9000 tests per week if not more.

4. Adequate number of contact tracers.

5. Hospitals need to have the proper PPE & staffing. Currently they do not.
