. @VDHgov has been reporting all tests, regardless of the type of test, since the beginning of this health crisis. When I found out recently that data from all types of tests were being combined, I immediately directed that the diagnostic tests be separated out.
This morning, @VDHgov disaggregated that data. It shows that antibody tests make up less than nine percent of the overall tests—and the trend lines remain the same.

I am a doctor, and I have said all along that I will act based on science and data—and the data must be reliable and up-to-date, so we can make informed decisions based on the facts.

Going forward, the @VDHgov website will break out the number of diagnostic tests.
My top priority remains the health and safety of all Virginians, period.
