I'm so mad because the core dynamic of jeff and annie (prince charming and damsel, also him keeping a distance because he's afraid bc of low self-esteem that he will hurt her. basically beauty and the beast) would be GOOD Normally I just wish the gap wasn't that extreme

because it makes jeff look bad especially since he hid his real age, I wish it didn't overshadow the found family trope which should be the core of the show (he should ultimately love everyone equally), and I wish it didn't come at the expense of Jeff's individuality.

Just a lot of fucking problems I have with it, which sucks because again, the idea of a beauty and the beast type of ship involving Jeff sounds really good. This just wasn't done well or like I would've wanted it to.

And now I can't look up jeff on tumblr without seeing him coupled with her and it's basically canon for most of the show anyway and it's just ugh why does no one know how to write I'm so pissed.

Like imagine the power the milady and milord exchange could've had if I didn't physically cringe whenever they flirt. I'm pissed.

I get the beauty and the beast angle and I get why some people really like it and can overlook the flaw I see because I mean ultimately annie is an adult end of story, but I can't, I really despise it. It's like, borderline show ruining for me
