In RN Pope Leo XIII laid out the conditions for the working man. Bezos shuns those. He pays his people subpar wages and makes them work like dogs he encourages intercompany backstabbing and infighting. He keeps a diverse workforce because they won't agree to unionize.
Unions are one of the most supported things by Popes like Leo XII and Pius X. Because in the absence of any guilds unions at least work to protect the worker. People like Bezos do not want that because he wants all the money and credit to be his alone.
While Trent thinks that Bezos somehow represents the American dream he is wrong here as well. Bezos like Gates and many others represent the death of the American dream. It is harder than ever before to become a millionaire in America because of these large megacorps
While they grow and grow the little man is left in the shadows of their colossal buildings. The small businessman today eeks out a meager living on the scraps left over. While Amazon and others rely on goods made with cheap labor in China that sell quick and ship in 2 days.
The desire and want for local made and local run fades into the ether. Yet do not say this Horn and others because they will just call you a socialist for rejecting the American dream of a home full of flammable Chinese made goods.
Horn and others bow to Bezos and his kind they see them as almost Godlike and they worship the idea of having that amount of money and control. Even at the expense of the real American dream of 4 kids, a steady job, and a house with a white picket fence.
If the old American dream of a world in which a man can marry at 20 and retire from the same job 40 years later with 4 kids and no political correctness is socialism I guess sign me up. Because a world run by billionaires that destroy the real dream is not one I want
