A cousin of mine, who is based in the US, asked me where can he watch a particular film which released last year. I informed him the film is available on a digital streaming platform.

He informed me this streaming platform is not available in the US and asked me if the DVD of the film is out. I told him with a heavy heart that the physical media business, vis-a-vis films and music, have almost died in India and 90% of the films do not get a physical release.

He was upset to hear that and said wish film industries in India, just like the West, would have continued the tradition of releasing films and music on physical media.
