I think that it’s great that so many restaurants are feeding hospital workers good, healthy, nutritious food but what are the patients eating? Food is medicine and historically food prepared at hospitals has not been great. Can we examine how restaurants
can be subsidized by community funding to expand this operation to feed sick patients food that actually heals? Food that doesn’t come from Sysco but is fresh and prepared by skilled intentional hands. It’s an idea that’s beyond my scope as an
individual but is totally achievable if we can organize the way we are to feed as many doctors and nurses on their lunch break. My brother @akashgoel and I had conversations about this idea before the pandemic and I’d like to open it up to other’s ideas.
