There seem to be so many "red lines" and "thresholds" that people think will turn US or EU support away from Israel.

1) There aren't.
2) These thresholds are illusory to begin with because most of them have already been de facto crossed. Laws would just catch up to the reality.

These warnings are purely performative, designed to project the illusion that international law matters, or that human rights trump state interests, but they don't.

We saw this with the Nation State Law, and we'll see it with annexation.

Many are under the delusion that as long as these realities don't become de jure, they can be reversed.

To which I ask, where the hell have you been for the last 70+ years?
