1a. Reading Duration:
Google tracks the average reading duration for every single one of your posts and pages.
A longer reading duration signals that the content is interesting - else a reader wouldn't stick around.
The longer the average reading duration, the better.

1b. How to increase the avg. reading duration:
+ Improve the overall structure to make it easy to skim & read
+ Use subheadings
+ Write short paragraphs
+ Write important words & phrases in bold letter
+ Add images & video
Do anything you can so the reader keeps scrolling.

1c. A word about video:
Video is almost like a SEO hack in this regard.
If someone watches a 5 minutes video, it increases the reading duration by 5 minutes.
That's why embedding videos into your blog posts can be a good idea. Even better when you've made the videos.

2a. Bounce Rate:
BR is a number that describes how many of your site visitors leave again from the same page.
Example:
Let's say you search for "new funny tv shows". You click the link and read through the list.
Then you close the window or click back.
You are a bounce.

2b. Bounce rate is calculated in percentages:
100% BR = Every reader leaves again after seeing the page.
0% BR = All your readers have clicked a link to reach another page on your site.
A low BR signals to Google that your blog is interesting overall. The lower the better.

2c. How to reduce your blog's bounce rate:
+ Link to related posts on your blog
+ Make images clickable
+ Write strong CTA's (Call-To-Action)
Most importantly:
+ Give your reader a reason to click to another page
+ Show them how much more you have to offer
