Why is there this sudden clamour to start attacking teachers? Im locked away trying to deliver an education to pupils. I would give anything to be back in the classroom. This isn’t a holiday, yet the likes of Andrew Adonis and Isabel Oakeshott think they can tell me to ‘step up’
Maybe they should step up and act like proper journalists or actual politicians (not ‘politicians’ who have never even won an election). I have so much respect for NHS workers/shopworkers etc who put themselves at risk, but why does there have to be a comparison?
Reopening schools without a common consensus between heads, unions, health officials and the DofE is creating an unnecessary risk.
Also just an idea, but if you haven’t set foot inside a school since you were a student yourself, then perhaps don’t lecture teachers on how achievable social distancing is in school. It’s just not possible
