Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world with various cultures and traditions. The symbolism of a Hindu represented in Hindu temples, found particularly India but also outside India. Here is the list of most beautiful Hindu temples.1/n

Tanah Lot Temple sits on the shore of the sea and is one of 7 sea temples, each temple standing in line to the next & forms a long chain on coast of Bali. It stands on a big rock and is one of the favored destinations for tourists in Bali. It also holds old Balinese myths.2/n

Prambanan Temple located at Java of Indonesia. There are eight main shrines, known as “gopuras”, and are 47 meters high. They are further surrounded by 250 other smaller shrines & the whole is one of biggest in SE-Asia. The temple dates back to 850 CE.3/n

Angkor Wat, Cambodia dates back to 12th century & said to be built by King Suryavarman II. One amazing fact is that it took him 27 years to completely build the temple. Initially called “Varah Vishnu-lok”. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, now hosts both Hindu & Buddhist cultures.4/n

Sri Subramaniar Swamy Devasthanam, Batu Caves, Malaysia. Series of limestone caves and contains one of the largest statues of Lord Murugan (42.7m in height). Tamil trader K. Thamboosamy Pillai built this temple in 1890 and is now a favored tourist place in Malaysia.

Pashupatinath is the most important Shiva temple in the world and is also one of the oldest temples in Kathmandu. Initially built by King Jayadeva in 753 A.D., it was embellished during the 12th century and 17th century.6/n

Aurlmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple, Tebrau, Malaysia is only Hindu temple made of glass in world. Built in a hut-like structure in 1922, it draws visitors from across globe. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, there is an Athma Lingam sanctuary of Lord Shiva built as a lotus...

...About 90% of the temple is made out of mosaic pieces of glass of different colors (around 300,000 pieces of glass been used). It is designed with Muknirudraksha beads and has a unique embossed texture. Each of the beads contains a chanted prayer and is embedded in walls.7/n

Shri Kali Temple is located in Little India of Yangon downtown of Burma, it was built by immigrants in 1871 while Burma was still part of India. Temple is colorful & contains images & carvings of different Hindu gods. Now, it's looked after by Indian Hindus of the locality.8/n

Sri Siva Subramaniya temple, Nadi, Fiji was constructed in the 1826 and had to be rebuilt completely in 1986. This temple is the largest temple in the Southern hemisphere.9/n

Sri Thendayuthapani Temple also known as Chettiars Temple is one of the oldest temple in Singapore and was built in the year 1859 A.D. by Nattukkottai Chettiars.

Nallur Kandaswamy temple, Jaffna notable in Sri Lanka & is dedicated to Lord Murugan in form of holy vel. It is said that Chola queen Sembiyan mahadevi presented the idol of Nallur Devi to temple in 10th century & idol is in the style of Sembian bronzes.12/n

Budhanilkantha Temple, Nepal is an open-air temple containing the 5 meters long statue of sleeping Vishnu floating in small pond resembling cosmic ocean. Shrine is Magnificently carved out of a single rock, believed to be engraved in Lichchhavi period, more than 1400 years ago.
