I’m just going to unpack everything in this list one at a time because there is a LOT going on https://twitter.com/loganmccree777/status/1260703560058245122
1) teaching women not to gossip.
Gossiping is not exclusive to women only by any means and it’s a negative stereotype used against women. This only shows that you’re buying into harmful stereotypes. Every child of any gender should be taught to reduce gossip
2) teaching women not to bully
Bullying is also not exclusive to any gender. All children should be taught not to bully others
3) teaching women not to manipulate.
Again being manipulative is not a gender specific trait, women being the more manipulative sex is a harmful negative stereotype. all children should be taught to not manipulate others.
3A) speaking of manipulation, this is a behaviour often seen in individuals with ASPD, formally known as ‘sociopathy’. Sociopathy is asymmetric in regard to it is diagnosed in more men than women. Therefore it could even be argued that men are the more manipulative sex
4) teach women to not make false allegations.
Assuming you’re referring to rape allegations. Around 2-10% of rape allegations are considered ‘false’ but this includes allegations that don’t have enough evidence on either side to support a prosecution.
4A) its not helpful to rape survivors both men and women, to focus on false allegations. While false allegations are unjust. The number of rapes and sexual assaults against women AND MEN, massively outweighs problematic false allegations. All children should be taught not to lie
5) teaching women to take responsibility.
All people should be taught to take responsibility and this isn’t gender exclusive.
6) teach women not to hit boys.
Yep totally, no one should hit anyone. This is a weak point of focus, while men do suffer from domestic violence by women, it’s notable that men are more likely to be perpetrators of violent crime
6A) As a side note, men are discouraged to speak out about violence committed on them by a female perpetrator because of values regarding toxic masculinity, it’s seen as emasculating. Feminists are the group fighting against Toxic masculinity. Yet you have a problem with feminism
7) teach women to not use sexuality for personal gain
All this says to me is that you personally believe men have no control over themselves when they find a women sexually appealing.
We should teach people not to sexualise women out of context.
7A) the very fact that you acknowledge women can use their sexuality to personally gain signifies you believe men are animalistic and unable deny their sexual urges. This is not a dunk on women, but a dunk on men.
Women are not responsible for their over sexualisation either
8) teaching women not to kill foetuses
Assuming you mean abortion, this statement is absurd. It’s obvious both men and women have a responsibility to avoid the conception of unwanted pregnancy.
8A) while a women is responsible for her own hormonal contraceptives. A women can not control whether she conceives. A man can control where he ejaculates. Therefore I believe men are the cause of all unwanted pregnancy therefore responsible for abortion
8B) all children should be taught about responsible safe sex. It is grossly unjust to put all the responsibility of abortion into women when both women and men are required to conceive
9) teach women to not be a feminist.
Why. As already touched on in this thread, many of mens inequalities come from the concept of toxic masculinity. Take the Male suicide rate for example, it is thought to be disproportionate compared to females due to men feeling shame around -
9A) - emotional expression. Men are shamed by their male counterparts for expressing emotion as it’s seen as weak or ‘gay’. MRAs love to bring this one up while also condemning feminism, but why, feminism fights against these harmful stereotypes and expectations of male behaviour
