@OwenJones84 thank you for highlighting the major problem that cleaners face during this pandemic.
I worked as one when I first arrived in this country and cleaned university halls and middle class houses for less than minimum wage. 1)
One: I was never provided with any PPE, had to buy it all myself, even if I was contracted by a big company.
Two: the work was tiring and difficult and I would always work longer than I was actually being paid for.
Three: most of my colleagues were, like me, Eastern European 2)
... who did not have a better alternative and agreed to receive very low wages despite the fact they could hardly survive on them

By asking your cleaner to come to your home and work in a ~pandemic~ you are endangering their life, the lives of your family and probably others 3)
To sum up this thread: pay your cleaners well EVEN during the pandemic, don’t ask them to come to work because this isn’t ESSENTIAL
