Crazy stuff via Youtube today. Urban N. Italy, Broni, 30 miles south of Milan. Roe Deer gets caught in a garden (being chased?). Wolf comes along, catches it, kills it, drags it off.

1/2 The only other *possible* explanation is that the canid is a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog (Wolf x Alsatian hybrid) but it seems quite small for that. A pair of these dogs - which popped out for 'fun' from the garden during the day - killed several donkeys nr. Gorizia. Originally..

... attributed to local Jackals (completely out-of-character & weight class) or Wolves, the canids (but not the kills) were captured on a trail-cam. What gave the game away that we weren't dealing with wild animals was the fact that one of the animals was wearing a green collar!
