The US: See that little dip in active cases? That is very good news. The putative total number of people with COVID has declined for the first time ever! As a nation, America is turning the corner.
Except for Texas ...
Except for Texas ...
Texas: A very bad day in Texas with +1500 new cases. Low days are getting higher — another bad sign. These charts suggest things are getting worse in Texas.
Of course, Texas ended its lockdown several days ago.

Russia: is now the 3rd worst-affected country on the planet, pushing the UK into 4th place. It is under-recording deaths by ascribing 60% of deaths to any other cause unless COVID was the sole cause, per Reuters.
Still, that's 10K new cases and 100 deaths per day.

The UK: In terms of deaths, the highs are getting lower and the lows are getting lower. Continued progress.
Denmark: A model for the rest of us. Danish kids have been back in school for a month. They have under 10 deaths a day and under 100 new cases a day.
South Korea: Retail foot traffic data shows SK basically back to normal while the rest of us remain indoors. [via UBS]
A great chart from The Times showing the R0 number for the UK by region. Note how low it is in London.
