I& #39;ve read a post saying that we should keep the youth away from "speaking for others" because it should not concern them now. Young as they are, they don& #39;t have better understanding yet of the laws and what& #39;s happening around.

What they should focus on right now is study and prepare for the real world, as the posts says. They should be freed from these things because they are no better that adults.

Now this, I believe, is very problematic. We should encourage young people to speak for others, both for those who can and cannot speak for themselves. We should let them think for themselves and critically process these events.

Being young is not being incapable of thinking. Yes, the youth may still need to learn more and experience more, but this does not equate to being incapable and being stupid.

Telling them to study now to prepare for the real world they will be into in the future is just unacceptable. They are already in the real world. They are not isolated from it. All they see, hear, feel, experience, are in the real world. Today is the real world.

Bottomline, it is wrong and unjust to tell other people to stop influencing the youth in speaking for them because they don& #39;t know better yet. It is misleading to tell them to prepare for the "real world," well in fact they are already in the "real world."
