In the interest of remembering our suffering hotel industry, I'm going to tell you why you should consider visiting these hotels when you can.

A thread, from the viewpoint of a hospitality supplier and someone who knows the industry inside out. https://twitter.com/HotelierME/status/1260842301607120896
Fairmont Ajman has one of the nicest stretches of beach you'll ever see. Their sports bar, The Cave, is a genuine hidden gem.
Fairmont Dubai - an absolute insitituion and has always led the city in terms of interesting hotel dining. Bagatelle is OUTSTANDING.
Fairmont The Palm - wonderful family-friendly resort, incredibly kind team and all the dining you could ever ask for. Sensational skyline views of the Marina.
Grand Millenium Al Wahda - 5* service at a 4* price. Slight Brit-centric but has the Porters pub which is a much-loved watering hole.
Grand Millenium Muscat - I don't know a huge amount about this property but you should go to Muscat because the hospitality, in general, is so warm.
Grand Plaza Movenpick Media City - outstanding location, wonderful time (the Dir of F&B is a cocktail MASTERMIND) and they have Verve by Nick&Scott.
Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach - iconic. BiCE. Go there, order the whole bass baked in salt, have an Aperol spritz, be happy.
JA Beach Hotel - a local success story. Homegrown and genuinely my favourite hotel team in the UAE from the corporate office all the way down to the waiters. Incredible grounds, SO PEACEFUL AND QUIET.
JA Hatta Fort - much like JA Beach Hotel, iconic and complete tranquil bliss. Has recently been refurbished so, whilst modernised, still retains its rustic charm.
Jumeirah Al Naseem - another wonderful family resort. Complimentary access to Wild Wadi (when it reopens) - take the kids there, back to the hotel and let them smash down one of those silly milkshakes at Black Tap. Kiddie heaven.
Millenium Resort Salalah - fingers crossed Salalah opens back up this summer because it is the perfect getaway from Dubai. Lovely and cool, super green.
Movenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta - one of the most wonderful places to celebrate Ramadan/Eid thanks to its gorgeous interior lobby design.
Palazza Versace Dubai - Q's Bar is, by some distance, the best bar in the city that noone knows about. Beautiful jazz bar with rotating residences from world class artists.
Park Regis Kris Kin - Kris with a View is a gorgeous skyline restaurant. The best views of Downtown Dubai that you didn't know existed.
Millenium Airport Hotel - surprisingly good Friday brunch offering! If you've got an early flight, it's a great place to go for dinner, crash overnight, quick hop to the airport.
Qasr al Sarab - beautiful, peaceful. Want to feel like an Arabian prince or princess? Go here.
Radisson Blu Dubai Waterfront - incredibly switched-on GM who did away with ties and the words 'ma'am' and 'sir'. Excellent dining offerings and modern, well-thought out service.
Ramada Hotel Ajman - fantastic reputation for sustainability. They have an urban farm and a zero landfill policy. Leading the way for environmentalism in the region.
Al Bustan Palace Muscat, Ritz Carlton - originally built for a GCC summit so has incredible history. Gorgeous location nestled next to a mountain and has an actually brilliant mini golf course.
Anantara Jabal al Akhdar - WOW. Up on a mountain, super peaceful, the drive up to it is absolutely mindblowing. Tranquility.
Anantara Eastern Mangroves - massively underrated Thai restaurant. Make sure you do the kayak tour through the mangroves (even in summer) as its a brilliant day out.
Anantara Sir Bani Yas - proper desert island experience. Gorgeous villas.
Anantara Dubai Palm - want to do something different with dining? It has an AUSTRALIAN restaurant, Bushman's! Great spot on the Palm, far away from the main bustle.
