Great opportunity with BP Ventures and @ThisIsYSYS for those in the Cleantech space raising investment

Why this is important? I'm gonna echo alot of what I learnt whilst with @ZeroCarbonCap + @ExeVelocities ....

Clean Tech is a wide term which captures alot of businesses which ultimately seek to tackle issues around climate change..

Typically barriers to startup ecosystem the exist in terms of

-The University 🎓 you went to.
-Family background 👪
-Connections / Network
In the cleantech space these issues are exacerbated. Why? Because Founders typically req. The following ⬇️ (unwritten credibility signalling / practical knowledge )

- PhDs
- Masters Degrees
- Doctorates
Add another barrier. Typical clean tech funding doesnt work in a linear, tried and tested way. ❌

Seed🌱
Series A 💷
Series B💰

Hence the creation of @ZeroCarbonCap and others who offer specialised support /investment.
Access to PhDs etc are limited. Therefore minority founders in the Cleantech space were few and far between. The exceptions were good folk such as

- @TheMarvinTabi Wesaf Energy

- Carlton Cummins and Amrit Chandan of @aceleronenergy
