ok so today is my birthday, i am now 17 years old and I would like to say i think it was 5(?) years ago today that I watched The Truman Show for the first time which may have accidentally been the greatest birthday gift of all time. I had always been into movies but (1/)
The Truman Show is probably where I transitioned from "liking movies" to viewing cinema as something transient. It was the first film where I felt as if I watched something life changing. I guess you could say that it was. It made me aware of what the possibilities that film (2/)
had over the human spirit. Cinema has changed my life in so so so so many different ways and I cannot imagine my existence without it. I believe cinema to have improved my life and made it worth living. Without it, I may not even be here to write this. Thank you Peter Weir, (3/)
Andrew Niccol, Laura Linney, Noah Emmerich, and Truman himself, Jim Carrey for bringing this masterpiece to life. It has changed my life. I believe in cinema.
