It's amazing how language allows us to communicate. I mean it's mesmerizing to me that you can convey a thought or express a feeling simply by moving your tongue and mouth around in a certain way.

Even more fascinating than that is that one thought or feeling can be expressed in literally thousands of ways...so many languages. Wow.
I love learning languages.

Through learning other languages, I have developed/am developing lifelong friendships that would have never been possible if I had remained a monolingual English speaker.
