My (and my Nani's ) irrevocable love for @sidharth_shukla started this exact day. I know some of us #SidHearts are very new here, so let me tell you why #ShivrajShekhar set the standard high for all male protagonists and stole our hearts effortlessly.

He entered the show when it was already 1000 epi old, but blended in like he was always meant to be there in Jaitsar, right beside Anandi. And his entry, who can ever forget it? Overnight, viewers of Balika Vadhu accepted him as "Collector Sahab".

What set Shiv apart from other male protagonists is how understanding and supportive he was, never wanting to take or even share Anandi's limelight. Unlike other relationships, #Ansh did not grow out of want, need or even love. It was respect. And you only love who you respect.

He loved unconditionally and waited for Anandi to reciprocate it, knowing she had past traumas to deal with. On one instance, she says, "aapne kabhi mere ruke hue pair dekh kar mujhe apni taraf kheencha nahi". Shiv is the husband every girl wants and deserves.

He carried the show on his shoulders and built chemistry from scratch with Toral when the face of Anandi changed. It was a huge shock for regular BV viewers to let go of Pratyusha, but #SidharthShukla stepped in and we could somehow accept it because of how easy he made it seem.

Aside from being an amazing husband, a very able civil servant and a feminist in true sense, #ShivrajShekhar was also s true family man who did not discriminate between his family and Anandi's. His bond with Dadisa and Daddu was adorable. He was a great brother, son and father.

Honestly, I've watched BV multiple times, but I have NEVER had the guts to watch his death sequence. It's just too painful, like someone took away most precious possession. So, here's to #ShivrajShekhar and #SidharthShukla , my Chaudhary and my Albeliya
