for SHINee’s 12th anniversary, i’m posting 12 of my favorite performances (and/or songs), one per day until May 25.

our page • you feel the absence, because it’s such an emotional performance, and you know it would‘ve been even more powerful had they been five on that stage . but they still did so well, and i’ve never been prouder of them than at this moment

don’t let me go • perfect for rainy days. a soothing song about moving on. this was originally supposed to be an onho duet, which i could feel the vibe of, but i’m glad they went with this as five. just couldn’t imagine it any other way.

an encore • one of their best ballads. a song that makes you sad and smile at the same time. a song about taking things for granted but how we can still find our way back together in the end. i love it. that powerful bridge and final chorus? so gooood

view + married to the music • well, it’s view and married to the music... these performances were always lit. but this one from GDA was just on another level. 너무 멋있어요!

selene 6.23 • a song jonghyun wrote for int’l shawols. now it’s a song that reminds shawols of him, a moon that’s so far away from us and can’t reach. this was such a devastatingly beautiful performance, even better than the actual CD track.

excuse me miss • the iconic excuse me miss performance during SWC4. one of shinee’s sexiest performances ever. jonghyun & taemin‘s sensual dance, minho & key’s booty shake, and onew... well, just being onew lol. and listen to jonghyun’s new bridge!

dream girl • shinee showcasing their teamwork here where minho’s mic stand broke & the others smoothly helped put away the broken pieces from the stage. i’ve watched this so many times, but it’s still hard to notice that there was any problem at all

sherlock • the legendary sherlock kbs gayo stage where shinee saved the day by impressively performing live despite the faulty sound system. so intense that taemin’s pants got ripped

one • probably my favorite shinee ballad. short, sincere, and tender. just like this emotional performance from their very first SWC in jp. look at key crying and the other members comforting him. i’m soft.

ring ding dong + lucifer • nothing, just shinee singing live and dancing ring ding dong and lucifer consecutively. it’s no big deal. seriously though, the power they exude!

juliette • i can’t remember if this is my favorite juliette performance, but it’s a great performance anyway so haha. look at them fetus shinee, but already doing great things

replay • ending this thread with their debut song of course. this touching performance was from SWC4. that acapella at the end with shawols singing with shinee was just so beautiful
