regarding nct dream

(1/?) im really disappointed in nct dream.

i wish they would’ve not said what they said, regardless of what it translated to and regardless of what they meant by it.

i wish none of them had laughed and i wish they wouldn’t have condoned or egged on that +

+ behavior because i am absolutely embarrassed on their part. donghyuck didn’t laugh or say anything but he didn’t even say “you can’t say that” or anything along those lines so i don’t know what to say. im not ignoring this and i won’t say that this doesn’t truly make my heart +

+ fall to pieces or that my heart isn’t heavy with this news.

i hope they apologize and do right by all of the people that were hurt by them saying this and i hope they truly mean it. +

+i know sm ent is bad about acknowledging situations regarding their idols and i know they are notorious for playing it off like it didn’t happen because it seems easier for them but makes being a fan for us a lot harder when we don’t want to support ableist, homophobic, racist +

+ etc. idols.

it seems they have gotten better about it because taeyong apologizes anytime something comes up regarding him recently and i really hope that this is a situation they will take care of properly and not ignore. +

+ im so shocked that this even happened because they seem to really care about everyone and try to be idols/people others can look up to, so im truly just; shocked. in conclusion to this post, i hope they do better and apologize, i hope they learn from their mistakes and that we+

+ can educate them on why saying things like this isn’t okay and why they should be weary of their audience and the way they speak about others in general.

i won’t defend them, i wont baby them and i won’t ignore this. +

+ but it shouldn’t come at the cost of others and definitely shouldn’t be ignored and categorized as character growth if they don’t take care of this situation properly. im sorry if this isn’t what everyone else is thinking but this is what im thinking.
