Not sure why Japan’s situation is such a mystery. Back in mid-March, it looked like Covid cases were spiking. After much pressure, and after the Olympics were canceled, officials raised the alarm and major cities all but shut down. Now new cases are down. Am I missing something?
Clarifying that I meant I’m not sure why Japan’s situation is such a mystery *to some* — isn’t it quite clear that the (quasi-) lockdowns led to more social distancing which is successfully bringing down new cases?
