Wisdom (came out of a play from T.S. Elliott! (I didn't know this)

There are two types of knowledge: Explicit and Tacit. The latter is more intuitive, context, experience, practice and values. However, much of these we don't use in organisations. "We need to be thinking more about this," says @boffin66 "and capture and share with people"
"How do we encourage people to share their knowledge?" Check out the stuff by Dan Pink on motivation. What motivates us is Mastery, Autonomy and Purpose. If you don't have these then it may be harder to share your tacit knowledge.
What do KM Practitioners do? "We connect" says @boffin66. I wonder if I'm a KM practitioner then in some way?
(From the KM Manager's Handbook)

The #cynefin model is mentioned (love this model and often refer to this in work). In the workplace, there are different types of practices.
"KM is NOT systems focused" says @boffin66 "there has to be leadership support, governance, and a culture that supports knowledge sharing." Does your company do all these three things? It's not about tools.
YES! So glad to read this in @boffin66 preso. Enablers are communities of practice, great ways to search for information (through say, Project Cortex), share stories (Yammer, Teams, "fun tools") will be more important as we go ahead.
(Side note): I have been collecting resources around #ProjectCortex because I think this will be a game changer with how people will look at how they seek information, find people and link to people/ideas/resources. https://wakelet.com/wake/1432d16b-2653-4cfc-9142-4519ea606448
There's various sites you can join to learn more about #KM such as following @stangarfield and @boffin66 of course, or https://realkm.com/
