A few things, Twitter.

So you wanna study/write about Jews?

Are you in our online communities showing solidarity when horrible anti-Semitic shit goes down?

Do you support us or are we just things for you to observe and profit from later? No?

Because we see you really fucking quickly. We’ve had 5000 years of experience of being fucked over by supposed comrades and allies - you think you’re any fucking different? You think you get a special pass because you have Jewish friends/coworkers/ professional associates?

Like, so many of you have shown your asses to me over the last few years on here.

Don’t write about what you don’t know.

Do you fucking even remember to wish us good wishes on our celebrations holidays? But you want us to reciprocate to you?

So if we are THINGS to you, and not loved ones, comrades, friends, if you cannot show true solidarity and be in our spaces when we need support – then get the fuck out of our communities on Twitter and in real life.

I’m serious. Don’t even show your fucking face.

The difference between Jews and non-Jews is that Jews will fight for OTHER marginalized peoples as part of our inherent birthright and core identity. Always.

Maybe you should turn around and give some of that generosity back to us.
