Why is @OurRevolution national repeatedly kicking members off their call for so much as daring to ask for democracy and debate inside their own organization??

Why is OR national so afraid to discuss forming a #PeoplesParty that it stoops to silencing its own organizers? https://twitter.com/OurRevolutionLA/status/1260772100807090176
2) This is the **second time** in three days that OR national tries to silence their members for daring to ask if we should create the major new party that the majority of Americans say they want in poll after poll.
3) On @OurRevolution national's volunteer call Monday night, chapters spoke up in support of @OurRevolutionLA's call for a major new party and shared links to our press release announcing OR LA's support.
4) @OurRevolution national's Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese angrily said, "No one has ever been successful mounting a third party campaign. We need to work within the system."

But he's wrong.

It took a new party to abolish slavery in America!
5) It took a new party to get the only statewide public bank in the country in ND. It took new parties to force the adoption of child labor laws, women's suffrage, social security, the 8-hour workday, progressive taxes. It took a new party to force FDR into the New Deal.
6) And none of them had the internet! Bernie's campaigns were powered by the internet. Our organizing was peer-to-peer on social media, our fundraising was crowdsourcing hundreds of millions in small-dollar donations, our media was independent. That's how we build a #PeoplesParty
7) Look to our north and south. It took a new party to get single-payer in Canada. And it took a new party to elect the Bernie Sanders of Mexico just two years ago, President López Obrador, whose new party Morena crushed the neoliberal parties that had ruled the country since...
8) ... the Mexican Revolution a century ago. Just four years after being founded as a party, Morena took the presidency, majorities in both houses of the national legislature, and the majority of the governorships.

Now **that** is a political revolution!
9) The majority of Americans want a major new party, including an even greater number of young and working people. The corporate parties are dissolving. Millions have left them and gone independent over the past several years.
10) At a time when Americans are demanding a new party and leaving the establishment parties in record numbers, why would **progressives** swim against the populist current in a fruitless attempt to save one of the corporate parties that has decimated the people of this country?
11) The people are leading the way to a major new party. It's time for progressive to stop pretending that they know better than the working people of this country.

Stand with the people!

Fight for a new party!

And let's finish this political revolution!
12) Join @OurRevolutionLA and @4aPeoplesParty on a National Informational Call tomorrow and take the next step in the political revolution!

13) Whether we start a #PeoplesParty or we continue trying to reform the Democrats, it's not up to me, or MPP, or OR LA, or OR national.

It's your choice.

Listen to all sides, join the call, discuss with members, and let the people decide the future of this movement and country
14) @OurRevolution national we invite you and all progressives to join in an open and good-faith conversation. If the arguments for continuing to reform the Democratic Party are so persuasive, then make your case to the people.
15) Those of us who agree with the majority of the young and working people in this country that we need a major new #PeoplesParty will make our case as well.

Then we will live our principles and let the people decide.

Because that's how democracy works.
