#ArohaStoryTime
I wasn't really into KPOP. I'm more into anime and manga. Until on summer 2018 I found webtoons which have faster updates than mangas and I read a whole lot of them. Then I found this webtoon, "Trainees", and although I wasn't interested in KPOP, I gave it a shot.

To be fair, this is my background in KPOP before I got into ASTRO.
I listen to KPOP, but only the popular ones that I got hear anywhere. I joined my high school classmates' KPOP cover group just to fill up the member count when they joined a competition.

My friends tried to get me into KPOP groups even before that—asking me to learn some girl group choreos just to see if I would get interested to know more about the group. But I didn't. After a dance practice or two, I gave up, thinking KPOP just really isn't for me.
Going back to 2018, Cha Eunwoo made a cameo in the webtoon Trainees and the comments said that he's really handsome in real life and is known as the Face Genius and so I searched him up. He's more handsome than the webtoon made him to be
This was produced by Fantagio btw!

Plot twist: I didn't get into ASTRO after that
A few months later, in Dec 2018, just when Christmas break had started, I started watching random KPOP vids on YT (not dance practices this time) because both my college friends were fangirls and I won't let myself be left out.

Variety show guestings, fan-made vids — they actually got me interested so I watched a bunch of them. Then I saw ASTRO's Baby dance practice on the recommendations and the group rang a bell in my mind. I thought I've heard of that group before somewhere so I clicked the vid.
They were SO LOUD playing rock paper scissors before the actual dance practice for smth I couldn't understand. Then came the intro's first few notes. And the choreo! I had to repeat that part for a little more than a few times and twice in slow motion just to satisfy myself

After that, I just found myself watching every vid on their channel. I followed their SNS accts and found out they will be having their con in Korea in a few days. Bin's 24 Hours fancam came out and I finally surrendered even though I had my eyes on them for days already.
This thread isn't supposed to be this long but I guess I just enjoyed telling my AROHA origin story and reliving the moment
* special mention to Again dance practice and the fan-made What You Didn't Notice vids in YT! They pulled me in even before I found the Cicada Ddoca
