I am “at” the Ped Board meeting, which is getting underway. Also cooking dinner for the family so I might have to run midway through.
We are doing introductions and @dseater is presiding, excellently as always.
We are getting to know some of the new #SPAB members and they sound great so far. People with useful and varied lived experience, expertise, and interest.
Also, I am chopping some green beans.
Public commenter saying nice things about Stay Healthy Streets in West Seattle. Thanks @seattledot!
Steve Humphrey, another West Seattle resident from “Duwamish Head,” lamenting a lack of car parking. Says Stay Healthy Streets will “push bad driving” places.
#Shoepic with the leg of my table.
Doug MacDonald, a frequent commenter who writes a monthly newsletter directed entirely to the Ped Board, is complaining about...let’s say it all together...scooters.
This is kind of fun. Now that the Ped Board is online, the neighborhood activists are joining the meeting. Commenter is complaining about lack of outreach, warning, communication, process, audits, and additional process around Stay Healthy Streets.
Dusty, Brad and Summer will be presenting Stay Healthy Streets for @seattledot. They are all cool in their own way. Summer does a good job explaining the benefits of neighborhood greenways in a matter-of-fact way.
Sadly, there isn't a visual presentation so I am going to have trouble cooking and listening at the same time. Are you a visual thinker, too? I am.
