Everybody loves science, until they have to consider its impact in different groups.

Kind of like everyone loves space, until we have to talk about safety, impact, and all that other "boring stuff" that addresses what our footprint will be, and who gets access.
Thank gawd for people who focus on these things.
I'm all for romanticism when it comes to space/science, I literally annoy people with how much I love it...
But people who point out the complexities, those who talk about the issues are not "buzzkills".

Those are the ones that care about it enough to want to make it better.
We have this whole culture built around the idea that you can't criticize things you love, or you're an undeserving troublemaker.

That's not true, it just isn't.
