Trigger Warning!!

Black men actually do share their experiences of sexual violence, we have simply been conditioned to view them only as perpetrators of violence, not victims. What will it take for us to actually have a conversation about Black male victims?

Deray Davis:
Rapper Collio speaks about his childhood trauma where he endured sexual violence.
Michael Jai White says because he looked like a grown man nobody would believe he was 15... so though he believed he was taking advantage, he was being adultified.

I implore people not engage folk who do not take the vulnerability of Black boys serious enough to use data and research. If you’re don’t love Black boys enough to seriously engage their lives why should people listen to you?
"While we may disown racist caricature of Black men and boys as super-predators, we simultaneously imagine them as voids, vacuous figures that we are fine not knowing. We do not care about how they suffer during their lives, but love performing outrage at their deaths."
