We all know everyone loves to hate field grades. But on a serious note, what are the things you NCOs, LTs, and CPTs see us do that make you want out of the army? Preferably examples more specific than “just in it for the OER.” Reply here or you can DM and I’ll post anonymously. https://twitter.com/Dude_Cav/status/1260687170177847297
1. This isn’t a trap. I fully believe the military has too few venues for candid feedback.

2. I don’t take the field grade hate personally. I sleep soundly for 7 hours a night regardless. But I do care to have the conversation about how my peers and I can be better
If I get some good stuff, I’ll write it up in a coherent way and push it out via a suitable venue so that @mikejason73 doesn’t think I’m a turd (kidding, sir)
From the inbox:
“My favorite Majors are the ones who give me their toughest lessons learned and help me understand why my left and right limits are where they are. My least favorite Majors exhibit a consistent malaise - of purpose, direction, and motivation. They simply show up.”
Another in this vein:

“People get far enough into their career get over the hump where they think they just need to stay in for 5-8 more years for retirement, even though they don't want to stay in. So you have people who hate their job, which means they won't do a good job.”
From the inbox:

“would not let commanders command at their level and would plan and schedule everything outside the battalion staff level. When I asked why I wasn’t allowed to execute the training and certification at my level, His response was; other CPTs have failed before you
“So we have brought it to our level. This same MAJ would be quick to blame any deficiencies with the plan, training or task on the commander. WTF sir! I went straight off your OPORD.”
