japanese learning resources thread uwu

disclaimer: this stuff is to add upon preexisting knowledge ! i learned japanese/am learning japanese through classes, not self taught, thus all of this is just stuff i use to improve upon what i already know!! i’ll probably continuously add to this thread hehe

lyricstraining — although this isn’t a perfect app (romaji is yucky) it is useful for listening practice and even can help with reading too!! (and they have some twice songs hehe)

ehon — if on a computer you can use the website and if on a phone there’s an app! this has children’s books in japanese! easy to read and usually has minimal kanji which is nice!!

language learning with netflix — this ones real cool!!!!!! double subtitles on netflix!! very useful for listening and reading practice

imiwa? — this is the dictionary my japanese teacher had recommended we use in the past BUT! (see next tweet)

shirabe jisho — this is the one i tend to use a bit more than imiwa. i just like the interface better but both are good imo!

studying lyrics/color coded lyrics — something that’s helped me a lot is studying lyrics of songs i like for vocab and grammar! generally i use color coded lyrics since i mainly do it w twice and rv songs hehe. color coded lyrics has the english too which can be helpful
